The 6th/7th grade visited the Northeast Climate Science Center where they talked with researchers about their work to understand the effects of climate change on certain marine and terrestrial animals, on New England fisheries, and on Native Americans in different areas of the country. Additionally, the group had the chance to tour the Durfee Conservatory and learn about various plants’ adaptations to their respective climates and to climate change.
