The rain held off, but for a few sprinkles, and our entire community spent today helping others. They did spring cleaning in Senior Center clients’ yards, planted on the Bridge of Flowers, and cleaned in Memorial Hall in Shelburne Falls. They cleaned at the Tyler Memorial Library (Charlemont). They raked, shoveled, and cleaned at the Buckland Recreation Area and the Greenfield Recreation Area, worked in gardens with students at the INSPIRE School for Autism (Brattleboro), and worked alongside employees at Prospect Meadow Farm (Hatfield). Inspired by The Academy’s founders, they made a difference everywhere they went, and in turn, they inspired gratitude and respect. Their efforts were a fitting testament to the service ethic that we value. Thanks to all!
