As a project in their Civics class, the 8th grade staged a mock trial in which groups prosecuted and defended a charge of vehicular manslaughter, allegedly involving texting while driving. While both sides presented strong cases, a mistrial was declared. Thanks to attorney Paul Rudof (P23, 24) for arranging for a legal professional to serve as judge.
