Daniel Gay (brother of Academic Dean Neale Gay), is an educator at the New Citizens Center in Worcester, MA. He spoke to Academy students on Tuesday, February 21. All of his students, ages 18-22, are either refugees or they came to the United States as undocumented minors. They are from four continents (Asia, South America, Africa, and Europe) and on any given day more than a dozen languages can be heard in his classroom. Academy students asked questions about a range of issues ranging from Daniel’s students’ experiences getting to the US to their hopes and fears, now that they’re on US soil.
