Environmental Science student Emily Nitzsche examines benthic macroinvertebrates caught in Rice Brook, Charlemont with teacher Doug Forbes and a guest from China, Ricky. These animals are mostly flying insect larvae whose presence or absence can be used to assess the health of the aquatic ecosystem.
