The 10th grade class experimented with small-scale saponification (soap making) reactions in a Chemistry lab this week. While one batch went down the drain rather dramatically, three more batches are curing and awaiting further pH testing by the students. It was a challenging but fun process, and Mr. Miller was proud of the focus and adherence to safety precautions exhibited by the students. He says “Good, clean fun was had, and we learned a lot from the process.”
