Ben Miller ’13 to help host Cornucopia Auction as guest auctioneer

For the second straight year our Cornucopia Auction will have a “celebrity” auctioneer, this time an alum!  Ben Miller ’13 will help us host the November 12 event, with his inimitable style.
Since graduating from The Academy, Ben has been working on a Bachelor of Music in Sound Recording Technology from UMass Lowell.  In the UMass Lowell Music Department, Ben is a vocal primary and has been performing several times a semester.  He is also playing soccer – including a stint that is far less impressive than it sounds on a semi-pro team; working at the campus radio station: WUML, Lowell, where he is now Chief Engineer; and has become a Studio Supervisor for the Sound Recording Technology Program. Ben fully intends to ignore his advisor’s glib mantra: “I do not recommend graduating” and complete his degree this coming May. Afterward, he plans to move to New York City to become an assistant engineer at a world-class music recording studio.
