Classroom Close-Up: Biology

Biology students created experiments to test photosynthesis under various conditions. They made leaf disc samples sink in a buffer solution and then timed how long it took the discs to float as a measure of the rate of oxygen production via photosynthesis under various conditions.

The sophomore class traveled to New York City where a highlight was a guided visit to the United Nations with the support of the Mary Lyon Foundation.  They also enjoyed Times Square and the Met, visited the 9/11 memorial, and  went to the New York Academy of Art, Mr. Green’s alma mater.
